The European Commission has launched an action that aims, by 2010, to 25% reduction of administrative burdens for businesses.

The XBRL International standards for the electronic communication of financial information, represents an opportunity to overcome the limitations arising from the diffusion and transmission of such information, usually lacking a proper standardization of content and still entrusted to the paper. As part of compliance with the DPCM 10/08, providing the filing of financial statements in XBRL format, Eurokleis has deployed the EAR platform that allows, in addition to the generation of XBRL files, to make reports, analysed and graphical displayed in real time, enhancing the communication effectiveness of the economic and financial data.

EAR is a modular platform for acquisition, analysis and export of budgetary data in XML / XBRL.

The platform enables the acquisition of data automatically or manually, the template handler display, acquisitions of additional shares or textual notes, view and export formats, XBRL, XML, Microsoft Excel and Adobe PDF. The real added value of the platform is the web reporting module  allowing the comparison of individual items or aggregated data with the possibility of comparisons between different years, also discontinuous. 

The three main areas of the system are:

• data acquisition (ML Modules and WL)
• data management (Form GAR)
• data viewing/exporting (modules and IEXP ARW)

The diagram below shows the platform and highlights the interactions between the different modules.

The platform follows all the phases of the EAR process, from capturing fiscal data, exports in the XBRL format in order to comply with national and international directives.

The advantage of using a single platform translates into a costs’ reduction to either side in a maximization of communications. The web-based platform, built on open source environments, such as Apache and PHP, uses a MySQL database and can be installed on any operating system (Linux / Unix, Windows or Mac OS X) and will be available through the use of a common Internet browser.

EAR modules

ML - Media Loader

This module allows automatic or manual acquisition of budgetary data from external sources, such as XBRL, XML, Microsoft Excel (XLS) and CSV.
The ML module can be adapted on request to automatically import the data exported from the ERP used by the customer or direct access to data stores.

WL - Manual Loader

WL module deals with the acquisition or manual editing of fiscal data.
The GUI is structured to be simple and intuitive. The acquisition is done through simple wizards that guide clients through the various stages of budget data acquisition.

ARW acquires an additional value published online, making information available to potential investors, by providing an analysis of tools. Eurokleis supports the client to define some preset reports, in order to emphasize the characteristics and qualities of the company.
